I have been a resident of Croton for the past 28 years and have raised two children in Croton. They have now moved on to their respective careers. Matthew will begin his third year of law school at New England School of Law in Boston and MaryEllen just started her second year of teaching third grade at Church Lane Elementary School in Baltimore. I have now found new opportunities coming my way in the field of real estate. For the past ten years I taught English at EF International in Tarrytown, New York and have also been working as a legal assistant for my husband’s law firm, Levine & Montana, in Peekskill, N.Y. After moving to Croton in 1979, I became active in a number of local organizations.
First I joined the Croton Newcomers Club where I served for two years as president and later the Croton Library Association where I served as co-president for two years. I later became very active as a volunteer on the Croton Caring Committee and then served a short term on the Board of Directors. In 1993 I ran for Village Trustee on the Republican ticket and, although unsuccessful in my bid, I was able to meet many residents and learn more about our wonderful village. Because of my interest in writing, I worked for a short time covering local stories, including school board meetings, with the local newspaper, The Gazette. I have also had the opportunity of meeting many parishioners at my church, Holy Name of Mary, where I have served as lector, Eucharistic Minister, fundraiser and volunteer. For the past year I have worked as a salesperson for Sena Realty in Ossining, N.Y. I look forward to my work at River Towns GMAC.
